Exodus: Rescued for Relationship
Exodus contains some of the most famous and dramatic stories in the bible, as God performs a spectular rescue of His people from Egypt. There are many ways of reading Exodus – a gripping tale that entertains us, a theological study that increases our knowledge of God. However, the way I think God wants us to read Exodus is as a living portrait of the character of our God. Exodus is referred to more than any other book by the New Testament to help us grasp the wonder of the God’s rescue in Jesus. My prayer is that as we study Exodus, our affections will be stirred to the God who sent His son to die in our place and our trust strengethed in the God who is with us and carries us through this world into His wonderful promised land for eternity.
